The Lunar Festival has started and it’s a simple, yet time consuming holiday. It starts in 2010 on February 14 and lasts 3 weeks, until March 7th. It’s a celebration of the defeat of the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients, but is more correctly aligned to the real world Chinese New Year. There are fireworks, achievements, and silly clothes to get and a lot of walking to do it. Let’s get started.

There are a few things you can do that aren’t running around the entire world trying to find each elder and I highly recommend you start with them first.

Buffs can be dispelled, but sockets are forever. That was the line from the Valentine’s Day World of Warcraft commercial that aired during the days of WoW: The Burning Crusade. Now the holiday has come back around but this time with a vengeance. No longer do you pick up chocolates from the guards or find out who’s spiked the perfume. A mysterious group of Goblins called the Crown Company has taken over the holiday and the Steemwheedle Cartel is none too pleased.

Before you actually go out and tank, make sure you are set and ready to assume the role. This may sound overly simplistic; however some players who have never tanked do not understand how important some things truly are. As a last resort any tanking class can shift into their tanking stance / form / presence / aura and tank an enemy really quick, however that is not good enough for all but the shortest time frames (a pull gone wrong in an instance). If you are going to tank for a group you really MUST ensure you are geared as a tank and have your talents spent in tanking talents.
