Patch 3.3.2 Review

Everything you want to know about Patch 3.3.2

This Tuesday sees the release of what is likely to be the last big patch to World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.  The patch is 3.3.2 and releases several big things into the game as well as changing quite a few existing things as well.  The biggest additions are the release of the last wing in Icecrown Citadel and therefore the Lich King himself, the start of the 8th Arena Season, and the addition of a 4th boss to the Vault of Archavon named Toravon.  Some of the other changes though are pretty interesting as well, so let’s start small and work our way up to the bigger changes.

Buff to Resilience On It’s Way

Bornakk has announced a significant buff to resilience:

We are currently in the process of applying a hotfix to buff resilience. While some modifications may be made, we intend to have this buff in effect for the remainder of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

The change will double the value of resilience in reducing damage done by players. So depending on their current amount of resilience, characters might experience a 10 to 20% decrease in damage taken from other players. The critical strike chance and critical strike damage reduction components of resilience will remain unaffected by this change.

Changes Coming to Heroic Ahn’kahet, the Old Kingdom

From Zarhym:

With that said, we plan on making some changes to The Old Kingdom in the next minor patch. For instance, Elder Nadox will only get one Ahn’Kahar Guardian and Jadoga Shadowseeker will only use her Ascend ability once during their respective encounters. In addition, a couple of the stagnant groups of bad dudes between the Befouled Terrace and The Desecrated Altar will be removed, while some of the roaming groups will have their pathing altered. These changes are to make this instance easier, but rather to make it a slightly quicker run and more in line with some of the other Wrath dungeons.
